Although it pisses me off to see my Habs fall behind 3-2 in the series....that was one hell of a game to watch from a hockey stand point as a hockey fan!!! Thomas' save was very good in the 2nd OT as well. That being said though...as a goalie myself; it was an extremely easy play to read. Moen was being boxed out by the d-man and had no real shot so the only option was the pass. Gionta needed to put that much higher. Still hats off to Thomas for being clutch when he was needed.

Agreed on all points, that was a great game, and either team could've won. My younger brother is a goalie, so I have a pretty decent understanding of how to read a shooter, and while yes, that was a relatively easy play to read, still not easy to react and move across the crease in time.

But I'd say that Michael Ryder's save was better biggrin.giflaugh.gif

Ryders save was the true highlight of that game...also Chara's accidental foot save in the 1st OT as well. I only wish Montreal got some luck like that too...both goals were nearly identical against Price. In both cases the d-man had really bad coverage. Horton should never have been able to get a shot off there.

All in all though...great game to watch.

Well... it was a good run for the Hawks... I'm still super impressed that they forced a game 7, and THEN made it to overtime. We had ours last year, looks like someone else has got to rise the trophy this year.

That was a good game, so good I've lost my voice and half my hearing because of the super-rambunctious Canucks fans at the bar :P

Hell you might have won the game if they hadn't blown the whistle on that one puck so quickly. Vancouver got away with one there.

The Lucic call was effing wacked, #6 came back in the 3rd.

Nothing whacked about the call...the hit itself was whacked. It's pretty simple in todays now. You can't face plant a player when his back is to you. If you can fully read his name and numbers...change the angle of the hit or lay off till the option to hit clean is available.
