Chilled man
hes lpt...im not sure how well that would work but idk im just pretty sure it would not be ideal I have a 99 C70 T5 with IPD Tune and a 99 2.4 Motor in it ... Its works perfect. The OP doesnt need a custom tune he just needs the T5 Tune and go. Custom would be pointless.
Big Will
hes lpt...im not sure how well that would work but idk im just pretty sure it would not be ideal This is correct. Of course you can run an LPT motor on the normal T5 tune, but it's not optimized. When I got my custom Wothrline tune, this is a point Jan made very specifically since I had been using a stock T5 M tune with my setup prior to the custom re-map. It's not that anything bad will happen but if you want a really dialed in tune, which for IPD's prices I would think you would, then I'd try to have a tune meant for the slightly higher compression motor. EDIT: That said, if you have to deal with MTE's ridiculous 300 dollars an hour and inattentive customer service, it might really just be better to get an off the shelf 15 PSI tune meant for the T5 since it will utilize the 16T and blue injectors you've installed. Burn-E
Lucky is the guy to talk to. No he's not any longer as of yesterday. At least not for IPD. I would go straight to Scott Hart and demand some answers.
GltGreco
yeah i wasnt arguing it couldn't be done, or wouldn't work, ive had a t5 tune in my lpt, all im saying is that certain aspects of the tune are different and it is not ideal, that is all

Che'_Moderator
Also I doubt IPD is going to bypass emissions devices for you.
AverageVolvo
Also I doubt IPD is going to bypass emissions devices for you. I don't think they will/can modify a tune. I asked Lucky a while back about the Stage 3 manual tune for 850's he sad it had Rear O2 and could not be disabled. Whereas my Stage 2 manual tune had NO rear O2 Get Turbo Tuner and be done with it No rear O2 Sas or Egr Cheaper than Ipd too. Adam(TT) has been very helpful via email with any and all questions. T5wagon1717
They don't modify for customers, cause it's a pain, but they can and have. They did a custom tune for Aaron (who I bought my car from). Mte tweaked it and sent the file over and they played with it.
Ghost Shadow
albeit, my 99xc70 did not have a IPD tune, it did get a t5 tune from speed tuning. My car had a 16t also on a LPT motor. it has gotten over 25000 miles in this setup 8000 of it was done cross country with no CEL's. Might want to get a new flash done. Scott Hart would be the upper man to get this thing straightening out. He is very nice (from my experiences)
