Fin-Solo
Exepat help me here! I have came to the conclusion, that to get my car low as fack, and still be able to raise it up for hills and bumps requires that I bag my car. Anywho, is there a shop around locally that can order and install bags on my car? I am hoping for something reasonably priced.
TheOtherWhiteMeat
Air is hot without a doubt, and to see a 240 on air would be truely authentic, but plan on shelling out $3000+ to do it right. We did a ton of research before doing Jeremy's kit, and found Airbagit.com to be the best deal in the country, which is what he went with. Nonetheless, while there are a few minor flaws in this system, it's pretty stable, and works most of the time. I spent two full days calling around the Seattle area to find a shop that would do air on my S80 and the lowest quote I found (including parts) was $5000. It can be done for cheaper if you want to do the labor and run the management lines. The guys at Universal Air in San Bernardino, CA are the best in the business and will set you up with the way to do it right. We learned the hard way that cutting corners on air suspension is not the best idea. I will gladly send you a list of shops with phone numbers in the Puget Sound area that do air installs if you shoot me a PM. -Jim
Fin-Solo
Wow not the exact price I was assuming, I might be able to do my own install though. Hopefully I'll be low somehow before ipd.

I know it can be done if you get some deals, do manual switches and some other stuff for like $1500-2000 in parts... You gotta pay to play homie! exexpat
Rears using Schroeder valves are cheap, but any time you have a MacPherson strut you need air management (at minimum gauges and manual switches). Mine's been ok and I've almost had it a year. Still a bit quirky though and I love instant adjustability. I literally use it every day I pull into my parking garage at work to clear speed bumps. No matter what people say, I say static<bags. I had a static beetle that would pop off the low reflectors on the road when I changed lanes and despite being the master of driving static at the time, I still would get stuck every once in a while and have to get out and make other cars back up and stuff. Eventually resorted to front air shocks and an on-board 12v air pump (Beetles can do this, because they weigh only 1200 lbs and most of that is in the back)

Guest Atom
I've gotten pretty intimate with 240 suspension recently. If your exhaust is tucked up you can drive pretty low static. Not sure how much lower it'd go with bags without a bunch of cutting and welding. I can give you whatever advise you need if you wanna try and get something done before iPd.
