Ipd Brake Ss Line, Worth It?

FAST850R

Recommended Posts

Hello,

My 1996 850R has very mush feeling of brake.

I heard that SSS lines will fix the mush problem, but I am not sure.

If you guys have any experience with the product, can you share it?

Also what brake pads do you recommend?

I don't track my car, It's just my DD.

Thank you.

I second them. I'm running the IPD SS lines and it made a difference. I'm also running Hawk HPS pads on 302mm slotted rotors with ATE Blue fluid.

Thank you for the replies guys.

I guess I will order the lines.

Yeah, I wish I can put bigger brakes too, but it's my DD and I don't have much fund for my car for now.

I know the front lines are easy to replace, but how about the real one?

I have never replaced brake lines for rear.

Hum...I just found other brand brake lines and they seem little cheaper than IPD ones.

Does anyone have any experience with other brands?

Thanks.

i've purchased the FCP stainless steel lines and i enjoy them a LOT.

Do the FCP SS lines work on 850s too? I only see them listed in the X70 section. I'm totally assuming they would since the calipers between the two models have the same part numbers, just want to make sure the lines would work. Have all new calipers and front rotors are shitty and old, so going to do 302s right away and figure might as well do SS lines up front.

I can't find SS line in FCP site. I google searched and I found bridgestone, stop tech, etc brands.

Some of them are $50 some of them are around $100. I know you get what you pay for, but I wonder SS lines are that much different from one brand to others.

question: my three Volvos '95 960, '97 850R, and '00 C70 have hard lines in the rear.

What's everyone else got? Are the hoses further up the line?

I didn't know the rear line are hard ones. I also want to know about it. If the rear ones are hard one, I assume it's ok to change the front ones?
