FAST850R
I am taking my 850R into the shop this weekend to get the FCP SS Lines installed and the Super Blue fluid put in... I only have 1 tin (whatever FCP sells) of fluid... is this enough or would I need more? Oh and FCP SS Lines Front and Rear - you need 2 fronts and 2 rears. Thank you for the links. Wow they are really cheap!! Please post here after you install the lines. I would love to hear it.
7 VII 7
Not sure what you mean by hard ones, but they are more difficult to change than the fronts.
Snabb T5M
Its my understanding from doing mine, that the majority of the rear brake line is a hard line, however, there are two sections of the rear brake line are not "hard lines." The first "soft section" is near the driver's side rear wheel, and other soft section is near the other rear wheel (if I remember correctly ). When doing my rear lines, the driver side rear connector got f**ked up and we had to get an entire new hard line. Not sure what you mean by hard ones, but they are more difficult to change than the fronts.

gilber33
Did you click my link? It should be the same SS lines that came in the ATE Big Break Kit Nope, sorry, didn't see them, I was on my phone before. IIRC, someone said that you can use the brake lines that are noted for 11" rotors with the 12" rotors with no problems, correct?

fasteddie042
I have the FCP ones and they have cracked around the rubber/plastic sheathing on the connector ends. I only installed them last summer, I would expect that the IPD ones should be better. I also live up in Toronto so the roads here are nasty in the winter with lots of salt so that my have helped wear them out a bit.

Yeah, I would like to know whether the problem affected performance of braking.
95 854 t-5
The rear lines on 850 are where the delta links crossover there are 2 and they're almost dead center under the car.
ErikS
Hello, My 1996 850R has very mush feeling of brake. Thank you. Why do you think you need new SS lines for a mushy fee, could just need a bleed, pads. rotors, etc. Done a visual inspection of everything yet? The silicone coated ones are going to be $60-$80 dollars, installing them takes some time if you don't have a lift/tools and is expensive if you cannot do it yourself. Dick Dastardly
Stainless lines are great if everything else is up to par and the fluid is properly bled...if not, then SS lines aren't going to do anything other than look nice..
