tmckinn
Just installed a 3rd seat in my 850 wagon. This displaced my Alpine cd changer that was located under the floor decking.I've discovered there is a glove box install kit and a behind the left tire well kit. Are there other installation locations I should consider? The "behind-the-left-tire-well-kit" was cool but for $220 from Volvoworld.com, I was hoping for something a little less pricey.Any suggestions are appreciated.Thanks. Veneficus
First check to see if your car is prewired in any of those locations. If it is, thats where I'd put it... theres no need to run addional wires unless you get some kind of enjoyment out of it like I do.
Fake Name
As a zealot, I just have to throw this out there:The absolute best place for your CD changer is eBay. For the time, money and energy to relocate it, you can obtain and wire a iPod or similar music player and have FAR more options .I know it's not for everyone, but I LOVE having 2777 songs available on easily accessible playlists than a mechanical device carrying disks that slop all over the place, taking up room in my glove box. And where would I put my gloves, anyway?End of oppositional, non-requested input.fn

prasamin
or, to get back on topic, get an aftermarket hu with a changer input, and connect your changer, and make sure you aftermarket hu has mp3 and xm capability...in fact, if you also want a new changer, get one with mp3 capability....just my .02......if you're short on cash, which is understandable, I would say stick the changer in the glovebox man...that's a common place for em, and it is convenient....
