vivalavolvo
http://trionic.mobixs.eu/ Any one know where i can source a cable for this? Its not OBDII, but a special high speed two way serial connection. It requires a special converter.
rkam
K-line is normally two way serial connection on a single wire. K-line cable for Volvo can be standard KKL interface from ebay, but engine controller is normally connected to pin 3 and not 7. Some kind of adapter or rework of the interface is required. No ready made interface is available as far as I know. For Motronic 1.8 you might need one that is capable of 187500 bps. Blue transparent ones seems to work, black VOL-FCR might not. For Motronic 4.3 and 4.4 any interface should work. The speed is between 9600 and 12500 bps. For CAN bus you can use CANUSB from Lawicel.
vivalavolvo
KKL! that's the term i could not recall. As long as i can get the hardware needed i can modify it to fit. I was going to make my own conversion adapter but the intercooler that does all the work is really really hard to find, i pretty much have the other parts laying around. thanks! this is for 4.3 btw"KKL409.1 VAG-COM 409" This should work as long as i swap pin 7 to pin 4? I see no Volvo ones as you warned, they are sold as VW/Audi cables. Is this what i need?
rkam
Yes, they are normally sold with VAG-COM 409. Pin 7 to 3 for M4.3. I guess you hit the wrong key.
