2000 S70 Starts Then Shuts Down

Our 2000 S70 starts, runs for short time then completely shuts down. I don't suspect fuel pump because it does run for short time, but I may be wrong. Could it possibly be something to do with alternator or electronics side (computer/Chip)? Does anybody have any ideas before I bring it in to a Dealer/Mechanic?

Thanks

How long does it run before it shuts down?

My C70 did this occasionally, started and died within 2 seconds.

Turned out that it was the antennae ring for the Immobilizer that is around the ignition switch.

very easy to replace, you just need to remove the steering wheel "clamshell" cover (3 screws on the bottom)

This exposes the ignition switch and the ring, just pop it out and plug in the new one.
