850 Spring Seats Getting Destroyed In 3-4 Months.

I bought the XC-90 Spring seats when I redid my suspension. I purchased from iPd. I would recommend them, they seemed to be of very good quality and came in OEM volvo bags if I recall.

Yes ordered original Volvo XC90 spring mounts got them from volvo , still pissed that the FCP groton spring mounts failed so early.The company has had issues with these spring mounts for over 5 years and they are still selling them as OEM units to the next sucker.There must be hundreds of volvo owners caught out with thier inferior so called OEM spring mounts should get a class action together and get them to stop selling them and replace the failed units.If it was a basic part it wouldnt be an issue but these spring mounts are a major 3 hour job in a shop..Just did a basic goggle search of volvo owners with FCP groton spring mount issues found 20 owners so far with complaints with early failures.So all you guys out there with volvos that need spring mounts you have been warned.

If anyone else cares, about 6 months ago I bought the complete front end rebuild kit from FCP groton for around $600 and all I can say is what a bunch of crap!! The upper strut mount bushings didn't last a week and they were they were junk, then 2 months later the spring seats are completely toast and now the lower control arms are loose. I thought that this was a decent kit because it listed all parts as OEM or better HA HA. I will spread the word to anyone who wants to listen "DO NOT BUY THIS KIT" it caused me many needless hours of late night garage time not to mention the multiple trips to Auto Zone to rent a spring compressor. This vehicle is not driven hard so for these components to fail in such a short time is almost criminal. I have learned a very hard lesson,and it is preached on this site over and over "buy good quality parts" or get real comfy out in the garage doing a job two or three times.
