bum2kev
your going to get a lot of opinions on VS and not a whole lot of answers. a few years ago i saw some full copper head gaskets for sale, but a S60R gasket is a bit beefier and should help out. There is also a few people running cometic gaskets. here is a good thread about a few different types...
ARD - Lucky
Headgasket failure in stock form, pretty uncommon. Once you start pushing 300+ bhp especially with poor or no tuning, HG failure is more common. With my set, I knew I was pushing the limits and I was ok with the potential outcomes. That being said enough detonation can comprise even MLS gaskets like the S60R gasket on my car. FWIW I put a stock fiber/metal gasket back on this time around... aggarcia
Headgaskets do fail even on stock cars. On a modified car with a bigger turbo and higher boost the weakest point is the headgasket. Ever wonder why on built turbo/supercharged motors they o-ring the block and head - to improve headgasket seal. Any pinging, over heating or other problems can shorten headhasket life. Like Lucky said you need to be aware of the possibility when modifying your car. AG
