WayAway
Im looking for some advice on a flywheel job in a 99 lpt. The starter chewed the crap out of the flywheel. I know I have to pull the motor. Never done this before. Thanks
Ihatespeedbumps
Are you asking for tips on engine removal? FWD?
WayAway
Basically yes. It's awd. I've never pulled a motor in a fwd car. I'm really well rounded with working on anything that needs to be fix on a car. I'm looking for maybe a time frame I'm up against. I'm sure it's straight forward, but I just want to know the ups and downs before I go at it.
Keaton85
about 3 days if you take your time and this is the first time you have done it. If the AWD is connected then thats a little bit of a pain. You can either remove the bevel gear in the car or take the motor/tranny out with the bevel gear attatched. Although the flange to the propeller shaft can get in the way.
