should be at both, btw ill bring that fpr.

anyways back on topic.

trying to figure if its worth having vems run the stock bcs or just including a new solenoid, the stockl bcs/tcv's blow and vems likes the solenoid i am using currently, what do you guys think? it would tag about 50 bucks on the price tag but money well spent.

Wouldn't a newer later model BCS from a T5 variant or R be up to the job if it is new? I've seen good serviceable new items on an S60r controlling a Gt3071r quite well with no spikes.

I have Nira running the stock BCS and it holds boost perfectly if I have it set to a fixed duty cycle. When I had it running in closed loop with PID, I had some spiking issues but it could have been that I didn't have the tables setup correctly.

What valve are you using currently? I was look at trying something like the N75 race valve, IPD HD valve or whatever.

I'll bring money for the fpr :)

and stock BCS ftl, either make it compatible with newer style TCVs or include the valve your using now imo. $50 is nothing when your buying a system like this.

i am using the solenoid from diy, not sure what make it is, i have had good luck with it soo far but i would like to experiment with other, definitely the stock me7 one.

If you are only having spiking issues in closed loop it would be your pid settings, it takes a while to get those 3 happy numbers.

Alan, you are probably just seeing me7 doing its job, it is far better at controlling boost than any of the older m4.3/4 ecus, although i do think the me7 boost solenoids are much better then the older m4.3/4 ones.

Kenny, the way you have yours hooked up is opposite to a regular internal gate actuator correct? as in, you solenoid is held open to keep the wastegate shut then it opens to open the wastegate, wonder if that affects how the solenoid performs...

Are you running closed or open loop?

I have a spare me7 boost solenoid that i could try out and see how it works on a standard internal gate actuator.

Are 4.3 and 4.4 stock wiring harnesses the same? if not then maybe kalvin can help you out

Did someone say my name?

You could always test it to see if it will work with an auto. smile.gif
