Matts 850 GLT Posted May 23, 2011 Report Share Posted May 23, 2011 Hi Trying to find a vacuum leak, all hoses replaced, PCV system, elbows etc. When I try to pull vaccumm from the hose that goes from the inlet manifold to the compressor bypass valve there is no vacuum. It doesn't hold anything either way as I can blow through it. Has it failed? What are the options? Dealer can't supply the diaghram as the turbo isn't made by Volvo but Mitsubishi. jschaefer7406 Posted May 23, 2011 Report Share Posted May 23, 2011 Matt, As you suspected, the diaphragm should hold both vacuum and pressure. Sounds like it's shot ... Actually though, the valve IS available from Volvo, but is VERY expensive (over $150 last I checked).
