CoRalV70
Yea im sure it is awesome but right now the current setup should be fine, i need to use the money that would cost on other pressing issues on the car (I.E. not be slow as hell)

That flat paint on the 1/4's looks like ass Are you going to +T it? Swapping in a 700 series B230FT & EMS would be cheap & effective. You can always add the 16V head, etc,, DTR

lookforjoe
It is turbo , and ya the undercoat is ugly Went back & looked at the earlier pics, hadn't noticed the 'turbo' emblem in the night pics. 84.5 should have factory intercooler. Ditching the B21FT D-Jet for the B230FT LH would make a significant improvement, get the 90- exhaust manifold & later turbo. Also the Turbo+ kit used w/LH2.2 would help. There's always the nitrous option - I did a 50 wetshot on my '85 245TI, but it will rip the rear suspension & diff apart
550
It all depends on the rear end honestly. Josh on t-bricks is running into the 12's on a stock rear end IIRC. http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=133563&page=40 Kind of luck of the draw... And the b21ft's were k-jet not d-jet. The b21 isn't a terrible engine. And with a 7:1 CR you can run some serious boost on the bottom end. I'd like to see 20 PSI on the b21ft with either the K24 or a 50 trim. The red blocks are just a decent platform and you don't realllly need to do much to them to make some quick power.
CoRalV70
ya its factory intercooled, there is only some slight surface rust otherwise it is quite solid

I meant K-Jet I meant the rear won't hold up to heavy nitrous use - any stock turbo setup won't hurt it.
