V40'99 Audio

Hi there,

I am new to this forum so please don't judge too much.

I have a Volvo V40'99 2.0T. My audio system was fully original: HU- SC-805, 2 tweeters in front panel, 2 mids in front doors, 2 tweeters(I guess) in rear pillar and a sub in the right side of the trunk. About these 2tweeters in rear pillar I am not sure because there was a small speaker, ~5cm in diameter, with some some filters, mounted on some plastic plate which mounted on the pillar. So that's what I got when I bought my car. I was really surprised about the original sound.

But as you know, after some time you need something more. I am not good at electronics, actually I am round 0. But I still need more sound:)

So I took out these rear speakers-tweeters from the back and put GZ 110w(not rms)4ohms coaxial speakers. I hoped that it will sound way much better, but it didn't. I didn't pay much attention then, just left them there.

Several weeks ago I decided to do something more with my sound. I bought component speakers to the front door, installed them, and they also didn't sound the way the original did.

So I don't understand these things:

1.What are the nominal power of the original speakers? Maybe if I put speakers with less nominal power they will sound better?

2.How the speakers are connected? HU 4x25,4ohms each right? and I have 7 speakers. Front door with front panel and woofer with rear ones? Then I have a question about how many ohms are original speakers?

For future I need your suggestions.

I really don't want to change my HU although it doesn't have any aux, radio is dead, reading CD's while they are new:D but I still love it.

what could you wise guys suggest, throw away my beloved HU and buy new one or put an amp and connect all speakers through it?

Sorry for long story:D Hope enjoyed reading;)
