misa
Can somebody confirm that diode #1N4007 instead of #1N4003 will work? That's the only diode i could find in Serbia for now. I talked with my electrician today and he said that the ONLY difference between 1N4003 & 1N4007 is that 1N4007 can deal with higher voltage than 1N4003,all other characteristics are the same. What is your opinion?
bergmjs
I'm going to go ahead and guess that it doesn't matter. You just need the signal off the source wire to reach the target wire without any feedback, hence the diode instead of the jumper.
BEJinFBK
A diode is just a "1 way valve" for electricity. Bigger is fine. ( but don't go smaller! )

Sas delete...here i go(as soon as i have a little more time). Thanks guys. ;)
Commander Riker
I guess this is the confirmation. Sas delete...here i go(as soon as i have a little more time). Thanks guys. I've done it to a few 70's... it's great. Good luck!!
misa
I've done it to a few 70's... it's great. Good luck!! Did you do it with diode #1N4007 or #1N4003? I actually look for confirmation to do it with #1N4007. This far...only BEJinFBK confirmed that it will work.

This far...only BEJinFBK confirmed that it will work. It'll work, I did it with a 1N4001. It doesn't matter too much, like I said, you just need the signal to come from the source wire and go to the target wire with the signal only traveling in one direction. Thus you just need a diode. The capacity of the diode is not that important as far as I can tell since it's just a signal.
