Are The Shocks Blown On My Wagon?

Recommended Posts

i bought this 850 wagon and the dude said he replaced the shocks in the back last year but the way the car sits i'm not sure i believe him anymore. i have a few boxes in the back so i know that'll effect the way it sits but i just find it a lil hard to believe the amount of weight i have back there is going to push it that low. any help would be great.

have you ever asked the person you bought it from whether or not they had the car lowered? Or if they bought it that way themselves?...

It looks to me like someone just lowered the car...even the front looks low.

oh yea, they're totally blown. the tires are starting to rub on the fenders when i hit big bumps. i'm dragged the ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD of the car a couple times today cuz i didnt realize how steep the parking lot was. guess i'm gonna get some new shocks real quick.

kinda lame i have to do the suspension AND brakes on this car. some people just dont know how to treat their cars. this stuff should have been done before i bought it.

Looks like a sagged spring issue. Both sides equally low? are the isolators there, that could def lower the rear a bit when missing.

Having new parts don't mean squat! Mine had "New" rear pads and rotors on it and within 10K miles the rears were scrubbing and squeaking as if it was metal to metal.... The pads were valucrap and hardware was original never replaced. Both sides had NO liner on the parking brake shoes. Cheap parts are sometimes just as worse as not doing the maintenance or doing the labor right. /rant

yea, both sides look about the same. i tried reaching up to see how much gap there was between the inner fender and the tire but it's too tight for my hand. i have about an inch between the tire and the corner of the fender and maybe 2-3 for the front and rear of the tire to the inner fender. it definitely has me worried about a blow-out :(
