mustang
All, The A/C in my 01 S80 seems to work fine but after say 10 minutes the air is no longer cool. We are having very hot temperatures outside (in the upper 90's) but that hasn't been a problem in the past. When it stops, the inside fan still works, but the air is warm. Anyone else have this issue or know what the problem could be. Thanks in advance Kris

trolling69
Your compressor clutch is failing. hes right, most likely its your compressor. my 01 s80 t6 doesnt have ac at all. it jus blows air without cooling it. so i alway ride with all windows open. Good luck fixing it.
Zappo
I have had the same problem on my 850 since I bought it 9 years ago. I might have to finally suck it up and buy one of these. http://www.autopartsway.com/PartDetails.cfm?W0133-1598612/OES Trying to find a better price still. Dan A
Or compressor switch. Or low freon/leak. And if it is the clutch itself, search for how to shim the clutch with bread clips.
Keaton85
I just use the zip tie method and it works perfect. If you know it's the clutch, as leaks and low fluid can be to blame as well.
PyROTech
sometimes low liquid causes this.

boxpin
You really need to take a look at the clutch and see if its turning or not after those ten minutes. I am just going to throw this out there...food for thought. There is the remote possibility that your icing up evaporator after 10 min causing there to be no more air flow over the coils.
