c_long20
Ok stupid question time. I got a really good deal on a turbo, manifold, eat shields, and all the cooler lines off an 04 V70R. I have a 98 V70, the hoses coming off my turbo are just regular silicone hoses with clamps. However, the turbo hose for an 04-05 R car have a groove and use a band clamp to hold the hose to the turbo. Anyone run into this? Any suggestions. I wasnt really finding anything on the 300 turbo postings that the search provided. Please someone help me. :(
Fudge_Brownie
Pretty sure you can also pillage the charge hose system that car used. Otherwise, take the tube that has the flange to mate with the compressor housing, chop it off, and weld it to your existing tubing. Ghetto option: I can't remember exactly what this set up looks like, but couldn't you just dremel it down?
Volvo5.0
It's hard to see in the picture but I welded a piece to the turbo, and then used a silicone coupler....
c_long20
Thanks so much guys. It really helps out a LOT. I was planning on the dremel option but I was concerned that I may have an issue with the hose coming loose under pressure. 5.0 do you have any more pictures of your install? Maybe any advice for the upcoming fun of how the fook do I get this to work. By the way, I got this setup from our body shop off a totaled car with 35,000 miles for $100. So I really would like for this to work. Thanks again

Thanks again That's a good find for $100. I think grinding down the v-band area slightly would be the easiest option. Just leave enough of a rolled edge and keep the clamp below it and you should be fine. Probably not much of an upgrade from the 19T you're running now, but for $100 I'd say go for it

Sorry, before you ask, I have no pics.
c_long20
Unfortunately, the car was gone before I could get anything else. I wanted the charged pipe and intake and injector cover. Seats would've been nice too. Dam state farm
