chlacrosse14 Posted June 30, 2011 Report Share Posted June 30, 2011 Well, the mechanic just called me after doing a full inspection of my 01 S80 and read off a long list of problems with my car. Of course, my struts are bad (the reason i took it in), but that is the least of my problems. The voltage regulator on the alternator is only giving a 12.1V charge compared to the normal 14-15, and it's about time for a new timing belt. He spat out a few other things and gave estimated costs for each that almost made me crap myself. I refuse to pay 4x the cost of the parts to have the mechanic do the work.
