boxpin
Installing the FMIC. I am looking at the front tow hook. Does that need to be cut off?

magicaljake
cut it, mine was ripped off when we were attempting to pull it out of a ditch (in my s70) but the lack of hook came very handy when i was putting in my FMIC 6 months later
T5power
didn't have to cut mine. i have plenty of room to work down there. what i(we, really) did was put a 90 degree coupler before the hook, and another one to connect to the pipe that goes up to the turbo. cgally
Mine was done with 2 1/2 " piping. You can do it without cutting the tow hook.
fischmama
I cut the backsupport and rewelded it. Thats with 3" piping though. 2.5" piping can be done with modification to the tow hook depending on the fmic size.

Brad850
It can be done but it depends on where the inlet is placed on your intercooler. Might work... might not. Good luck!
