98glt-5
So here's the dilemma, I have an m56l with a bent shift fork in my car right now. I have a newer style m56h that is designed for the internal slave sitting in my garage for a replacement., Not sure if I should just bite the bullet and spend a ton of money on an internal, and clutch line. Seeing as the external slave and everything I just bought a few months ago is still brand new, I'd like to try to keep it. I've never taken apart a manual trans before, I mean I know whats actually in there but I've never actually done it myself. One of my friends has a rebuilt a bunch of manual transmissions working at a ford dealer, how hard would it be for me to swap bell housings, or even just internals of the tranny? Or am I just digging in way to deep and should I just buy the internal slave and get it over with?
