runelind
My g/f's little brother is driving my 1995 850 Turbo. His parents live on a dirt road and he has to drive up a fairly steep hill to get there. The other night when he was driving up the hill the car would just shut off and all the dashboard lights would come on. It would start up again, but the same thing happened again before he made it all the way up the hill. He hasn't driven it since, and the shop can't look at it until Monday. It sounds like a fuel delivery issue to me, but thought I'd throw it out to the think-tank. It is a 1995 850 Turbo Sedan with ~148K miles on it. I put a speedtuning chip in it about 5 years ago. SlapShot
Has the fuel filter ever been changed?
runelind
I'll have to check through the paperwork. I'm guessing the fuel filter is replaced as part of an interval service?
(n)A-GAME
Not usually. Clogged fuel filter +steep uphill makes me think also that could be an (easily tested) issue.
BoostedMoose517
I had a similar issue with my 96. Also thought it was the filter but problem still occured after new one was installed. Pull the fuel pump assembly out and check to see if the fuel line is coming off the fuel pump. I heard that is a common issue also.
