N/a Throttle Body Question

I am noticing with the N/A throttle body that when I let off the gas right at the point where the butterfly is closed there is an abrupt shut down of the engine or deceleration where it goes negative instead of a positive force. I dont know if I am explaining this right. Its either go or no go with nothing smooth in between. I think this is what the plastic puck if for on the butterfly. Is anyone running a straight N/A body without the 960 butterfly, meaning your using the puck? Just wondering if the transition is smoother. Seems like moving to a 3" opening from a 2 1/2" that the puck in place would still net you gain.

hmm, Im running the NA throttle body with the 960 plate, and I have not noticed anything strange like that. The car felt a little weird when I first installed it, I had to get used to it and the car probably did too. But im auto, could be something you manual guys only would notice.

You really don't want the throttle plate COMPLETELY closed at idle. Usually about 1/4 turn on the set screw is enough to give a small air gap. If you have the t-body off the car, hold it up towards a light. Should see a little daylight all the way around.

Mine does a wierd idle/afr dance as I push in the clutch, goes real fat then instantly lean for about 3 seconds like 20-1 afr lean. I'm running the na without a plastic piece. Maybe I will switch back after work to the turbo piece and report back.
