Just need to know if there are somethings that she should be aware of ? I have good knowledge of Volvos along the 850, 70 and 60 series' but I know nothing of the 80 series. chlacrosse14 Posted August 7, 2011 Report Share Posted August 7, 2011 Just as a fair warning, get ready to spend quite a bit of money on maintenance (unless you are handy in the garage). Many reviews of this car complain about the high failure rate of some parts, especially the transmission. From what I've been told, the transmission problems are mostly in the T6 models (mine is N/A). I have had my car in the shop a few times, but never for anything too serious.
