gottarollwithit
Looks like my mom's car might be due for a coolant flush this weekend. So, a few questions... Is there a coolant drain plug or valve? If so, where exactly is it? The coolant has this orange-brown tinge to it. It used to be green (Prestone). Is this the color it gets when it goes acidic? Can this color occur if non distilled/dirty water is used? Or, is this a sign that exhaust may be leaking into the coolant? The car runs fine (i haven't checked compression or done a leak down on it before). I'm pretty sure that the coolant doesn't "boil" in the exhaust reservoir. My plan is to drain the radiator and block, then take a garden hose to both. Drain all of the hose water out and refill it with some Zerex G05/distilled water. Sound about right? Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!
MBXPilot
This is high on my to-do list as well. Completely forgot about doing it in the nearly 5 years I've owned the car... Hopefully somebody can provide some insight. Thanks for reminding me about this lol
