boosted_brick Posted September 30, 2011 Report Share Posted September 30, 2011 ...going about 65. it broke off the bottom part of my bumper and cracked the radiator. all before 7am. it was an eventful drive to work, i'll say that. now i get to drive one of the work trucks we have, a 98 ram 2500. i'm just glad it was a raccoon and not one of the handful of deer i've avoided the past month. i think i'm up to 4 that i've swerved to avoid. oh well... i'm searching for a new bumper, painted yellow or not, and i'm having a heck of a time. is there noone out there parting a t5r? i'm having a shop take care of the radiator. i thought maybe my insurance would cover it but all they're gonna do is get the towing costs. Gilhuly Posted September 30, 2011 Report Share Posted September 30, 2011 I've done almost the exact same thing about a year and a half ago. Hit the raccoon on the pass corner, though and blew all the paint off from distortion and tore the bumper away from the wheel well with the skirt. The reair with rattle can paint came out really well and I don't think anybody has ever noticed other than, "Your R bumper is in good shape" as I filled and sanded all the rash from the bottom of it while I was at it.
