theunderlord
Say you got a used turbo. What woud you do to it before you put it on your car?
swdracr
Remove the old one. If it seems like it's worn out you could send it somewhere and have it rebuilt.. but then again if it's spent you probably wouldn't have bought it in the first place. How are the blades? Shaft play? theunderlord
How are the blades? Shaft play?←I'm not sure about the 13G.. but the new (used one) : Zero shaft play....well... not very much... blades are a bit dirty, look sharp, (no dings or anything)

StickThatClutch
Does it have a serial number?
theunderlord
Does it have a serial number?←where would I find that? there are quite a few number on it.. I know the part number should be 9454563... but I think that just goes on the nameplate...
StickThatClutch
You know what its probably on the nameplate as well. You can look up the turbo model via the serial. In your case it looks like your out of luck.I think there are some critical diameters you can measure to compare the different model turbos in the same housing. I'm no expert on this so I can't offer you any further advice. Good luck.

JHEIII874T5M
probably has a 3" exhaust outlet flange like the 19T's instead of the 15g and 16T 2.5"

StickThatClutch
Kevin said the ID of the exhuast is 2.35" that doesn't match up with the ID of the 16t which should be 2.2" its more on lines of the 19t. So good money on it NOT being a 16t.EDIT: thoughts that it could have been altered before coming into Kevin's possession could skew normal dimension data.
