EVL WAGN
Fuck ya Boosted...do it bro!!! I've been bashing these guys and their fuckin retarded stock wheels for years now. They've all just learned to ignore me which is cool. I've got loaner Comets on my poor R right now and even she wants to claw her own eyes out too. The Volvo world is the only segment that the owners can name every goddamn stock wheel ever made...lol. Ask a JDM tuner what the name of the stock wheel that came on the 92 GTR was and they'll run you over with their car for asking such a stupid question...lol. Good for you to want to try it out. I had a set of Volution V's in 19" on my R a few years ago and it was ok...the wheels were complete fucking trash...but thats a different post altogether. Jardim
I know the Vspec GT-Rs got 17x8 BBS wheels.............thats just because the R32 has been my favorite car since i could remember.
Fake-R
Chances are, I'm going to go with a 19" wheel for my next one. Everyone who is saying that 17" is the perfect size, well, that's just dumb. 18's look good, but they still kinda leave something to be desired. I'm happy with my Tritons, but yeah, they're OEM. Still BBS, but OEM none the less.
exexpat
In agreement on the big brake kit idea. If you do something with a ton of spokes, multipiece or facey, then stock brakes look ok. The nice thing if you do Porsche OEM or reps is that they will clear the big brakes in all cases with even narrow adapters (because they were built for cars with factory Brembos). Che'_Moderator
If you want to be orginal don't build a donk. Tub the rear and go 20" wide. Super singles on an 850.... never seen that

And leave the car FWD. That would really upset people and be fun to witness the aftermath.

RZT5
Don't listen to the people telling you not to "ruin" a yellow. Until your critics come up with the money to buy the car from you and put it in a museum, they need not be telling you what to do. Since it seems your original post was asking for opinions, here are some ideas. I'm not really into big wheels and stance, but I know nice things when I see them. Here are some wheels I would consider if I were in your shoes: available here: http://carbonfiberwerks.stimuluscreations.com/Wheels.htm rotiform.com And I agree, on a yellow its gotta be anthrecite or gunmetal colored wheels. ceebee30
^ Now these are two 'big wheels' that would look pretty darn good on the 850. (In addition to the ones on the White wagon)
pcguru000
I can't imagine 20's in an 850 :/ my 17's destroyed my inner fenders with 225s... :/ If you can make it work though more power to you - it is your car after all... just please don't paint your hood flat black. kalvin
Do not allow yourself to be discouraged by the comments on here. From what I have found out it is better to just create a well thought out plan of attack and execute it with precision. Do what you want with your car and don't skimp out and cut corners or rush anything. Do it right the first time. Come back with pictures to prove people wrong. Gideon35T
Without some major inner fender reworking so that you can slam the thing it's just going to end up looking like a donk If you can get it reasonably low then you may be able to pull it off look wise ... I'm mostly of the opinion that it's a bad idea simply because a 20" with rubber is gonna weigh in 40+lbs - That's alot of mass to turn ...
