cw4dug Posted October 14, 2011 Report Share Posted October 14, 2011 My 1999 C70 has a problem that is intermitant. While driving the speedo will go blank and the needle will drop to zero, along with the ABS and the anti skid light illuminating and the check engine light. If it happens while stopped it will not shift to 1st gear, you have to go to low manually, It will all of a sudden begin to work but the lights will stay lite until you turn the car off and restart it. The check engine light stays lit. A scanner shows a low power error and that thetransmission had an error. My mechnaic friend said his computer will not communicate witht he transmission computer, all it tells him is that the transmission is triggering the check engine light to come on. Once in a while the foreward arrow will flash. He feels its a computer communication issue. He took the ABS computer out and checked wires and looked for dirt and snapped it back in place but it happened again today. Affraid of a dealer $$$$ ANy HELP please.
