volvo940tuner
Picked up a new toy yesterday. Its an '88 BMW E30 325is. Black on black, sports interior. Doesn't really need much of anything for work done to it. I already have plans to swap out the 'diving board' bumpers for 89+ plastic bumpers, so that will add for a cleaner look. 155K on it, no rust, no major body damage. (just scratches). Did a quick wash/wax on it just now and the paint looks presentable..I suppose I will do a cut and compound to bring it back to life more. Here are some crappy iPhone pics:
JVC
tuck the bumpers while waiting... go under the car, drill the shocks for the front and rear bumper, to release the pressure and fluid, then drive it slowly into a concrete wall... free and looks way better! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oIpyUEpC-A watch 1-5 you'll see what exactly it does. NJGreenBudd
Nice but why the rush to plastic bumpers? I had a '87 325e that was soo much fun and looked great with the IS lip under the painted and tucked diving boards. IMO it looks fine when tucked and a lot less trendy than plastics, everybody and their uncle wants those plastic bumpers..... Regardless, awesome cars, enjoy it! volvo940tuner
i heard something about the 88 bumpers being filled with foam so you can't do that. not sure if thats right or not?

volvo940tuner
Haha, its not very exciting as is. Just a cool little car. I am probably going to just do a stage zero, buy sport bumpers, install coilovers, and call it a day.
