loudatom
I tried posting this over on v70r, but I'll just try my luck here as well. I recently installed a walbro 255 in my 00R. After installation, when I turn the key to pos. 2 I can hear the pump prime, but then when I crank the engine it starts for about 2 seconds and then dies. When I hold the bleeder valve open on the fuel rail and crank the engine, no fuel comes out...only the little bit from the priming sequence. Funny thing is, it started just out of fluke only one time and ran for 20 minutes, I thought all was good and turned it off...only to come back and it won't start again. Is my pump just not noticing my engine is trying to start?
Ihatespeedbumps
Sorry I missed your post on V70R. Why was the fuel pump originally replaced? Has the fuel pump relay ever been replaced? What is the pressure at the rail while cranking and/or running?
MrWinkey
You didn't reverse the feed and return lines did you?
loudatom
It turns out what happened was my relay kicked the bucket at the same time as my fuel pump. I ordered a replacement, and all is good again!
