Che'_Moderator
I can glitterchemeleonghostflatuber paint a pile of shit and it will look awesome for the next 10 minutes. And if you went to a show that judged paint and someones hand rub lacquer paint job lost to rattle can all my VW comments are well founded. Its like MS products. OMG LOOK GUYS. Its running. exexpat
Hood, hatch and both bumpers on this car were spray painted: They were perfect with zero orange peel. The car has transferred ownership at least 4 times since then and was featured in Eurotuner last summer from the current owner in Wisconsin. From what I can tell looking at the magazine and considering I sold the car in 2004, the paint is still as I applied it back in 1996. Yeah, the turd held up well. I can take photos of the best paint and best of show trophies from a foot away if that floats your boat. Still have those.

Gideon35T
There's got to be 1,000 forum threads throughout the interwebs dedicated to people who have rattle canned entire cars. Just like any paint job it's the prep and finishing work that makes it or breaks it. It is very doable and can even have some amazing results. That said ... Chuck is right as to the easiest method that is also a lot harder to mess up and will give great results. Doesn't even take much skill. I'd touch her up before I rattle canned an entire panel but that's me. Do it Chucks way and if after that you royally monkey it up you can shoot Expat a pm and ask how to rattle can over it. EZ PZ. rodrigo
Well, the touch up paint and paint pens have been ordered and will be here sometime in the next few days. I'll see what i can do for now. Since I do not have a garage, I can't spray it now in the cold anyway...I'd have to wait for the warmer temperatures. I'll post pictures as it gets done.
