lookforjoe
I would not recommend the cheaper PCV hoses that you have in your pics - the ones I put on my son's XC a few years ago - lasted about 8 months before they dried up & cracked. What is going on with the bores?? If that's left over chemical from the piston cleaning - I think you need to clean & lubricate those bores ASAP! You don't want any contaminants in the bore hatching - it'll likely bugger your rings in short order.
'93 Dave
plz dont use the tube that comes with pcv kit. its complete garbage and my tore after 3 months. its the cheapest piece of rubber hose ever. reuse ur old one if u can!!!!! im talking about the hose thats on the side and connects to the engine block (90degree bend, 2-4" inches long) (looks like u might have used the old one as i see clamp marks around it)

You don't want any contaminants in the bore hatching - it'll likely bugger your rings in short order. thats some of the chemical i did lube and clean it like you said. the pcv box is oem volvo the right angle tube is oem volvo only that return back into the block is uro plz dont use the tube that comes with pcv kit. its complete garbage and my tore after 3 months. its the cheapest piece of rubber hose ever. reuse ur old one if u can!!!!! i didnt order a pcv kit, ordered it seperatly. the kit comes with the stupid crimp clamp crap. i never use them and i end up buying the worm style clamps. its all oem except the return to the block.. more crap from today 2 hours of nothing much since i have no head, no valve cover, no alternator, no starter...just parts... so i didinjector 0 rings top and bottomclean the crap out of the windshield cowlorganized parts and found out i doubled up on some things under the cowl injector 0 rings and parts all sorted out. covered up the block so all that crap from the cowl doesnt end up in the wrong place hopefully the head gets back tomorrow and then i can start going foward! sconeman
fun fun fun! looking good. And +1 to never ever using URO plastic anything. I''ve found after two rebuilds all cheaper plastic parts fail in short order ( vac elbows, PVC hose etc) you probably already know that, just putting in my .02 to help people avoid my mistakes. I only use OEM rubber parts now.

Ghost Shadow
the silcone couplers work they just need some soap they are tight but work great. ehh they going back to fcp...thought about, it would be better to do a FMIC setup with a bov shipped for $260 vs fcp silicone for $
