Burgundy_850
they are designed to reproduce lower frequency sound, which is the "lower" sound you're hearing. you can turn your bass down if you feel there's too much of this.
JehovArob
Actually, what happens in most of our cars is that there is a tweeter placed above the woofer in each of those speakers back there, and the magnet for the tweeter falls off due to use of poor quality glue, and then you get no sound out of the speakers. So, you'll need to open them up and reglue them with some sort of epoxy to get them working again. The whole speaker needs to be removed so that you can get to the screws that hold the grill in place.Check your front tweeters (on the dash) to see if they are making noise. Those tend to drop their magnets as well.

The tweeter magnet had been down so long, attached to the bottom magnetically, that the speaker was stuck down and wouldn't move. You may need new speakers instead. The tweeters drop their magnets too, I found one quite easily, the other one was a different story though... Guest 95'850GLT
Be VERY careful about that, my rear door speaker was like that, but when the tweeter had fallen off the wires crossed and shorted out the entire right channel on the radio, so before you install a new radio or speakers make sure that everything is normal
