Dick Dastardly
EGT? Exhaust Gas Temperature But with some of the leaky Volvos around, maybe oil pressure gauge isn't such a bad idea... I am a fan of oil pressure gauges..with a sender that also retains idiot light..
MattyXXL
I would defiantly go Air/Fuel also... Just so you can monitor with the new tune... ten times more if you still plan on putting a MBC in. and remember if you decide to go A/F spend the money and get a wideband... A narrow band will be a waste of money and will do nothing but be a light show. and +1 on the Hallman pro...
FAST850R
Thank you for the all the information. That is the thing, I was going to go for only for a boost gauge, but I was also thinking about A/F gauge. The thing is, I can't really find 2 gauge pod for Volvo. Does anyone know where I can get it? IPD doesn't sell it, gaugepod doesn't sell it. Thank you.
MattyXXL
I think you rSOL with a dual... just go for the 3 and add a EGT OR You can do A/F Boost (single) Vac (Single)

Well lets hope that if you have enough done to the car to need an oil pressure gauge that you're intuitive enough to fix oil leaks before going around and thrashing the car. I'd still personally run Boost/Vac, WB A/F, EGT in my stack...but then again I hate the look of gauges going up the pillar of a car. Don't think I'll have the car to a point where I'll really need them anyway. /.
dublin14
Hello, I'm about to buy a mbc, but before I do, I have a few questions. I never installed mbc so bare with me. If I buy it, how do I know what psi my car is running, and how to adjust it? Do I need to buy a boost gauge to check? Any brand you guys prefer? Or it doesn't matter? I'm buying it to get ARD white tune Thank you. I have a HKS EBC thats better control than any MBC for $130 shipped. http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-auto-parts-tires-other-parts-accessories-BOOST-CONTROLLER-by-HKS-EVC-EZ-W0QQAdIdZ322813116

Thank you for the offer though.
BoostedS70
you still may want to think about getting an EBC. the factory boost managment is sub par to say the least, and imo dosent perform very well over stock boost conditions. exp if its a BCS and not TCV. TCV seems to be a little better but nothing compared to the EBC. i have a Gizzmo ibc-R and the features on it are amazing you can adjust the turbo gain threw the rev range over boost warning spike stop etc. if you do decide to stay factory consider swapping to IPD HD TCV. and even thow your not getting a MBC now i would still highly reccomend you get a boost gauge its a good toll to have no matter what the situation. good luck man
mopar318
I second the hallman manual boost controller. I am using one on my SRT4 swapped neon. These engines have way more boost response than my volvo and hold steady with the halman MBC. I have tried tons of other units and nothing worked very good.
