Keaton85
Idea: get codes and post them here.... Seriously though, you can't diagnose this without real info. The codes are displayed to tell YOU what to look into fixing, not to play guessing games.

Ihatespeedbumps
Year/model/trim? An accurate description of the symptoms you are experiencing would be of great help :)
pcguru000
Is this you? http://www.justanswe...and-engine.html I'm gonna go ahead and say with some confidence its not you're throttle/throttle body. But it does however sound VERY much like a mass airflow sensor problem. It is likely NOT going to cost you 1500 or whatever that j/a quoted you. Unless of course you are taking it to a dealer. I suggest getting some MAF cleaner and * carefully* cleaning it up. Also perhaps try removing it and starting the car- it will stall (possibly within a few seconds) but try and see if it runs any smoother, perhaps proving the maf is indeed the culprit. This article shows a little info on the MAF http://volvospeed.co...low_sensor.html Its really easy to remove, just unhook your airfilter box, those clamps unscrew and you can pull it off the pipe... be careful no to touch, or let anything touch the element inside... also it may look clean but clean it anyway... its usually something you can't see that's messing it up. Edit: Also finding some other info here on the codes you posted- highly reccomend googling them with the words "obd2" or "volvo obd2" as a prefix- yields some useful info- http://www.matthewsv...php?f=1&t=20685 Could just a bad idle air control too- can clean that with carb cleaner or something similar. Def make sure its plugged in though. Also- update your profile/sig with your cars year/model/etc and a location perhaps if you are a near another "enthusiastic" vs member they'd be happy to help you out in person.
