boxpin
Very nice! Did you do the welding on those pipes? Nah, I suck at aluminum welding. Had a friend do it. is that an extra bead of weld around the rolled ends? Yes, every end has either the factory roll or a welded bead. What dia.? Where did you get the piping and about how much did it cost you for the welding? 2.5" and the piping came from one of those fleabay kits. You may want to consider 2.25" though, it was a pain to find room for the 2.5". Cost? Friend usually means cheaper than what a shop would do it for so it really would not matter what I said the price was.

boxpin
What did you polish them with? A big floor mounted buffer with two different wheels and compounds.
BlackT5
What was the final compund? White?
boxpin
What was the final compund? White? Yes, brown on one wheel first then white on the other. And only one pipe got ripped out of my hands and shot across the room during the process. Not bad. ^_^
Volvo5.0
Obviously not as shiny as yours, but Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish and a little elbow grease does a decent job. Your welds look great BTW. I'm still using couplers since I fail at welding aluminum ....
