rbodor3
Love my TDR -1s, in 17" But I think I bent my passenger front. Anybody know if these forged aluminum wheels can be trued? I have no experience with getting wheels repaired.

Gideon35T
They can be but it depends on how bent we're talking. If you cant see it by eye then it can be straightened no prob. Develop a wobble after kissing a curb or ... ? Did you check to make sure you didnt lose a weight?
rbodor3
Didnt I sell you those? yup, and still love 'em. They can be but it depends on how bent we're talking. If you cant see it by eye then it can be straightened no prob. Develop a wobble after kissing a curb or ... ? Did you check to make sure you didnt lose a weight? yeah touched a curb. I can't see the bend, but it only comes and goes around 60mph which is why I assumed it was bent not just out-of-balance :
Gideon35T
Balance may cause vibration only at certain speed. All depends on the harmonics. If you can't see it with your eye then it's only a slight bend. You have to dismount the tire to confirm but you have to dismount it anyways for a shop to fix it, haha. However, it's VERY slight and holds air fine you may just want to have the tire rebalanced and forget about it. Keep in mind, like any metal, every time you bend it it gets weaker. Even when you're bending it BACK.
rbodor3
I got the new wheels: Unfortunately, they don't fit because the offset is 45. I asked TDR to get me a set of the same wheels with an ET20 offset, but they report they can only make that in a 4-lug. The best offset they could get me was ET35. Anybody know if these will clear Brembos in a 17x7 config????
550
For the porsche BBK, I believe my TDR 1.2's are ET 38. 17x8 also.
rbodor3
TDR says they can go all the way to ET15 if I do a 17x7.5 instead of 17x7. I don't want to buy new tires if I don't have to because mine are only about 2-3k miles into their wear, they're Fuzion 225/45/17. Will these stretch to 7.5? You will be fine.
Zappo
You are fine with a 225 on an 8". It was a bit too wide for the 7" you had them on. Where did you buy those out of? I am looking for some 17x8" rims.
