Link to Official information, as well as details on how to fill out the forms.

CFR SCCA registration WILL be open on Sunday morning for the stragglers...REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 10AM ON SUNDAY AND TRICIA NEEDS A LIST OF FOLKS SEPARATE OF REGULAR RSVP'S SO SHE CAN PROVIDE THAT TO THE CFR SCCA REGISTRAR FOR SUNDAY ENTRIES. We will not have a Volvo group registrar on Sunday.

Where: Sebring International Raceway

113 Midway Drive

Sebring, Florida 33870

We are allowed to camp

When: Feb 11th and 12th,

Both days have race groups running all day from 8am until 5pm.

Saturday before 11am for registration

Fee's: Entry fee is $5.00 per person and a limited number of rides in the CFR SCCA pace call are available at $10.00 per person.

SCCA race weekends are two day events and the passes you all receive will be good for both days (passes must be on your person at all times). There will probably be practice/qualify and some races on Saturday, and then a full day of races on Sunday. There are various hotels in the area.

General Information.

An invite has been extended to come and hang out for a weekend at the 12hr Paddock down at Sebring.

If you would like to come, and will be coming please add your name to the list below and I will update it as often as possible.

A Volvo car corral will be provided along with door prizes and trophies in various Volvo categories.

"On February 11-12 at Sebring there will be a CFR SCCA club racing event that will feature a group of Swedes racing in their own group in New Camaro made to look like 69 Camaros and they are all out race machines! They paid for the track rentals and the deal is a go. All the other usual SCCA groups will also be racing and we are entering our 1800ES in FP. This is full bore door to door racing...we (the Volvo street cars) will be the hot Swedish Iron lazing about in the paddock getting all the attention.

This race will be on the 12hr Long Course track configuration using the really nice 12hr paddock area with the veiwing areas above the garages. The 12hr paddock is huge and there should be plenty of room for ALL our Fl Volvo clubs to participate. Old or new, bring it on! There is food at the track (the breakfast sandwiches are awesome) although a little pricey...but you get your moneys worth. "

If you would like to race you must be a licensed SCCA member and have registered to be on the track

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST GO THROUGH SCCA REGISTRATION AND SIGN APPROPRIATE WAIVERS. REGISTRATIONS IS FROM 8AM TO 10:30AM ON SATURDAY, AND UNTIL 10AM ON SUNDAY.

This is a closed event and we are being invited as guests of the region. ANY CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18 WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE MINOR WAIVERS SIGNED BY BOTH PARENTS.

(absolutely no alcohol until all racing activities have ceased for the day, and then it is drink all you want). Coolers, food and grills are permitted. No open fires. You all will be able to go where ever you want in the paddock EXCEPT PIT ROAD and FALSE STARTING GRID where they line up the cars for release onto the track.

I'm in Winter Haven. Haven't to any meets. I've been to your web site, very nice! Not 100% sure about Sebring, but I want to go. Will have to see what works out.

You should make the trip.

Really everyone should make the trip.

Its 5$ to hang out for 2 days at a SCCA race event, and free camping in feild.

I will no doubt bring some form of grille or stove since I have tons of camping equipment.

And we just air'd out the tint with all the other camping stuff.

there are showers so no worries there. They said to bring a flash light just incase theres no light. No big deal there.

So far your only out $5 + gas.

:) Sounds like a no brainer to go out and have a good time for a weekend.

Shit most camp grounds get more then $5  not even going to start with hotels.

Thanks for the kind words on the site. :)

Team ACN Volvosports (Tricia and Bill Rose) race paddock will be right across the road from the Volvo car corral and will serve as the camping area. I am bringing extra tent and air mattress (possibly for tchnprgmr) in addition to small propane grill, propane and cooking utensils for all to use. The RV has a canopy to provide shade for the Volvo trophy ballot tabulators and we can also set up the door prize and trophy tables there.

So far I have six RSVP in addition to those on this thread. Keep the RSVPs coming as I have to set up the volvo corral on Friday night and have to know how big to make it.

If you are thinking about coming...go with that thought! This will be a fun weekend for only $5.00. Tons of cool race cars, Swedish Camaro Cup racers and a bunch of volvo enthusiasts. Don't forget earplugs....get a little loud when all those cars hit the track.

Don't forget to visit www.flvcoa.org for all the details. EVeryone has to go through SCCA registration by a specific times both days.

Scored some more door prizes today and welcome any door prizes any one else can score. 23 days to go!

Updated some more stuff and threw up a couple more names to the list.

At last count it looked as 25-30 Volvo's would be present so this should be a fairly good event.

Looking forwards to seeing our friends from FLVCOA and their mint cars, as well as getting the hell out of Orlando for a couple days.

Me and Jaime will no doubt caravan down, and there seems to be 2 other members within 10 minutes of me who we might pull into the caravan.

Matt lemme know whats going on if your coming down Sat, Sun, or even at all.

Tech (Alan is coming down sunday) so im sure if you two wanted to roll in together you could since your close.

Beerz, Burgers, Late night cheezburger chips, Racing, and Volvo's. Yep sounds good.

Also we have been invited to their spring event once again this year. And for those who went last year you remember how cool they all were... and how we almost won the trivia contest  .

I will have to re-check but I do believe the event moved more northern this year. and is on May 5th.

More details on that to come in the coming week.

As always you can find info on the Floirda forum.
