Volvo5.0
$25 a piece new from tasca part number 8251319 When I put the 302's on my car, I ordered that part # and they did not fit. I searched and found part #8602456 that worked for me. Not sure if there are 2 variations of the 302 kit, but he may want to double check
TonyMastodon
Thanks! I tried to calling tasca on the phone and they said it was gonna be 94 plus 15 dollars shipping for the 2 brackets. Rather just buy through FCP and get free shipping for the same price. crazykn
I also encountered a problem with the part number 8251319 as well. The brake pads don't fit in them. I had to grind and sand down the sides just to make the pads fit and I think I may have messed it up a little too (since I do get a occassional brake groan when hot) so i'm already planning to order the 8602456 part to replace the current ones. Volvo5.0
What was it that made them not work? Were they totally off? Yeah they were totally wrong. I think the brackets would bolt to the car, but the caliper would not bolt up to the bracket. This is what I ended up buying and it worked fine....http://www.fcpgroton...12%22+rotors%

hankbates
Volvo must have some problem with their inventory control, having mixed up some of their returns. A year and a half ago I used a couple of 8251319's and new Akebonos on my 96-855t and had no fitment problems as described above. They did accept my original brackets as cores without any fuss, so maybe some other cores they had accepted were even farther off. The 2 8251319's I did receive were identical except in that one was painted gray, the other gold. Probably reconditioned in different shops? What parts listings I can find from a brief search show 8251319 as being good for gen 1 cars 98 up, S70, V70,C70 etc. Seems like a crapshoot, like any other time I have ordered obscure parts for older cars.... Volvo5.0
Volvo must have some problem with their inventory control, having mixed up some of their returns. I think you're right. This is a reman part, and the ones I received were probably boxed wrong. I just looked it up in Vida and it looks like both 8251319 and 8602456 should work.... db130
there are indeed two variations and i've purchased 302mm brackets using both part numbers 8602456 is the part number for the UKDM police spec brackets and they come in an anodized finish 8251319 is the p/n for the 2000 v70r bracket - 8251319 is significantly cheaper when i bought the ukdm brackets, they came with an anodized finish and the v70r brackets came painted, i don't know if that is still the case. i actually have a pair of NIB 8251319 that was purchased for a project that probably won't materialize, i should check to see if there are any fitment issues on those. phunktified
just noticed this on the FCP site; The associated 12" diameter rotor needed for the upgarde is part number 272276 and with that you would also need longer brake lines, part number 9191400. any truth to needing longer brake lines to go to 302s? I already have the brackets, just waiting til spring to install..
gmsgltr
Yes while you are in there put some stainless steel lines in that are longer. You dont have to but you should. The stainless lines will make more of a difference in brake feel than the entire 302 conversion. For the record both part numbers listed have worked for me. When purchasing these in the past I actually got one repainted gold and one anthracite lol and they shipped me another to try to get a match and luckily it was anthracite lol
hankbates
I didn't replace the brake lines and probably never will. I was (and still am) really happy with the difference I got in feel.
