B Mac
I forgot to add this in the PM. If the GT35R is what you are looking for in sizing, then you might wanna have a look at the Precision 6262. GT3582r vs PTE 6262 Comp Inducer: 61mm vs 62mm Exducer: 82mm vs 82mm Turbine Inducer: 68mm vs 72mm Exducer: 62mm vs 62mm General feedback is the PTE 6262 spools faster and makes more HP at less boost than the GT35R. The 6262 has the billet wheel also.. and costs alot less. Its the turbo Im going for next I think? But try Precision and see what they say anyways. What the hell, did you tap into our conversation or something? That's literally exactly what I was suggesting. But yeah, there are a few guys around here with 6262's and they make some serious power. I wish I had gone with the 6262 for my setup but I'm content with what I have. It's a perfect turbo for this engine and the top end with Hussein's setup should be pretty damn mindboggling, to say the least.
dublin14
I know its kinda funny lol. I just looked at what Hussein was going for and was trying to find something that would out spool the GT35R and out perform it at lower PSI. A few of the guys I know from the import tuner crowd have got great results with the 6262, but I dont really know much about it personally. But what Ive been told, and what the dynos show, its a very impressive Turbo. 566awhp at 26psi on (pump gas) out of a 2.3L 4banger is amazing. At 40psi the 6262 did 727WHP on a 2.0L Evo. I know Hussein wont be running close to 40psi, but man thats impressive!

I'm assuming it will cure my high EBP :D

bigmay850
What about the new borgwarner efr series? I've hear great things about them from the evolution community BC they are relatively cheap n cover a wide range of power.

They're nice, they're not cheap. $1900+ for the 8374 series, comparable to the 6262 spec
bigmay850
Sorry was looking at the journal bearing Turbo prices. That's not inexpensive!

I'm assuming it will cure my high EBP Looking at the SRT4s with the 63ar - 6262, some of the numbers were 568WHP on a mustang dyno at 23psi and running out of injectors. Another guy got 585whp at mid 20s for boost. The more I see about this turbo, the more I want one. But that wont happen until I get bigger cams at least. I read a number of DSM threads last night on the 6262 - quite a few talked about running out of injectors - I think maybe I'll need bigger than the 700ish I have now - I was hitting 80% duty cycle with the 60-1 compressor - this thing is quite a bit larger... Couldn't find any specifics on injector sizing recommendations, maybe 1000cc?

I went with .82ar, I don't want to be choking up top as I am now. Since I will have a standard 3" V-band DP (instead of my funky 4-bolt DSM mitsu flange) after this, I can always swap hotsides if I really need to. ozzimark
They're nice, they're not cheap. $1900+ for the 8374 series, comparable to the 6262 spec But you won't need the wastegate or recirc valve anymore, since they're built in. Also, the 7670 is more comparable to the Garret GT3582R :)
JCviggen
1000cc + injectors seem to be what this turbo wants. Depends on the # of cyl's obviously. I would think 1000 is excessive. 700cc's should be good for well over 500hp on a 5-cylinder...1000 is something I'd look at if I was gunning for 800hp. I never pushed my Siemens 630's past 75% even in winter when it was doing well over 420 crank. Fuel pressure iirc 4.3 bar at full boost.
dublin14
Thats true. Although, Hussein said he's already at 80% with the Turbo he has now with 710cc injectors. I see a few of the GT35R 500hp+ 850s in Sweden using 1000cc injectors? Might be excessive, but time will tell I guess.
