NEU
Sounds like IPD is doing a little CYA regarding alignments... I never did and mine was fine.... BTW if you drop the front end you need longer endilinks, if not IPD HD or Meyle HD ones work good enough.. Tyler you said you have an IPD HD endlink did you need another? I've got a spare... Too late! I have the other hd end link coming in the same box as the sway bars. They'll be here next week. And I'll probably get an alignment cuz it'll be time for that anyway. Piston Slapper
I don't know if it threw mine off or not as I threw on the IPD springs in the same go and had to realign alot anyway.
Tyler T5R
Well today I got the rear bar installed. Removal of old and installation of new took about 2 hours. That includes removing EST dual exhaust to have access to the endlink nuts. It definitely helped to remove the exhaust, but still could only fit a 3/8 wratchet in there which makes it tough to undo 14 year old nuts. Then another 1.5 hours putting the exhaust back on and trying to actually line it up this time so it's even on both sides. Pain. And very windy and cold, which helps. I miiiiiiiiiiiiiiight try the front bar tomorrow. Not sure. When I read the IPD instructions I'm still aprehensive about lowering the subframe while I'm under there. Tyler T5R
Neubar and I got the front bar in a couple weeks ago at his house (thank you, sir!). Slid the bar behind the rear subframe mounts and then pried down on the subframe with a pry bar - sway bar just slid by and we were good to go. Alignment debate: Driving the car, I could immediately tell the alignment was way off. No surprise, as we had unbolted all four corners of the subframe (front loose, rear all the way out). I had it aligned Friday and the front was off by .20 on left and .53 on right. That's a lot! If you do this or a job like it where the subframe is loosened, get an alignment.
