Ghost Shadow
First off i shall list my supporting mods. -18t straight flange -Atech drop in intercooler -3" BSR downpipe -IPD/TME cat back -highflow cat -EST intake -IPD HD coils -IPD HD TCV -Xemodex ETM (dont know if it is a mod but worth mentioning.you will see later) -Stage 0 Initially i had a "stage 2 tune" from speed tuning usa. turns out it was a tuned euro auto t5 tune. Best MPG i got with that tune was 210-240 per fill up. i also got a p1600 code and p1618 code. fuel cut sometimes. enough of talking about the previous tune, it upsets me everytime i think of it. Along comes Lucky aka robert formally of ........we all know where he was from. he started developing tunes for the older fwd cars 93-98 mot4.3/4.4 eventually going into the ME7 stuff that the 99+ cars have. SInce my car gets grounded every winter, and after exchanging 1000 PM's and phone calls i push myself to send out my precious ECU and let UPS hold the fate of my car to get a box to portland oregon safely. It did sometime in January 2012, i get it back end of january and i let it sit for 1 week and i got a few PM's asking did you try it yet. with my busy schedule i stayed up late to get the ecu into the car and promised to drive it to work the next day. Impressions: -Car starts up ALOT faster than any ME7 car i can ever remember -Car idles smoother than any ME7 car i remeber -Car revs alot faster, meaning throttle response is AMAZING like it is a new car. -First gear has little to no boost but there is torque -Second gear will get you to 60-65 mph real fast, you have 16 or 17" wheels it will start smoking the tires..lucky i have 19x9.5's in the fronts preventing that LOL -Third gear is your fun gear, thats the 40-100 gear -fourth and fifth is just your cruising gears, car has enough power now to not require downshifts to pass in 5th @ 60mph Power is there when you want it where you want it. boost is controlled to 18psi but will vary depending on throttle position, unlike the older cars where it is 18psi all the time. The ME7 cars give you power via the amount of torque needed. if you need 15psi to achive that amount of torque requested it will only give you 15, you need 10 psi of torque it will give you only 10psi. not 18psi all day everyday. this type of power delivery will translate into a smooth feeling nice driving vehicle, not that punchy feeling that all my ME7 cars had before. mind you i had speed tuning do both my 99xc70 and my 01 c70. My seat of the pants butt-dyno-meter says WHOOOO HOOOOO give it to me again!! LOL I am one happy SOB now and I wish to thank ARD-Lucky for being in the Volvo community. *this car is going to get me into trouble now*
VolvoRacer850R
I felt the exact same way when i got my Blue ARD tune. I haven't really had time to put the car though its paces but in the little driving i have gotten to do since the install wow!!!!!
ARD - Lucky
Thanks for taking the time to post up with your experience, always appreciate feedback whether it's good, bad or otherwise! It was odd to see your 2001 C70 Manual with an automatic tune in it.... I guess everyone makes mistakes, I was just glad to be a part of the solution. No surprise you ran into all those weird problems.... And for those that might have seen his model year, that's right we're tuning 01-04 models now! ...but don't tell anyone, I'm busy enough at the moment

Dan A
Little to no boost in first? How does that feel?
ARD - Lucky
Kinda typical for manual cars, of course with some wastegate adjustment you should see 5 or so psi...
Ghost Shadow
Little to no boost in first? How does that feel? feels torquei...if thats a word in the english dictionary lol...it is NOT like a manual swapped 850, it is NOT like a car tuned via a Apex AFR. power comes on in a very very different way, very smooth an linear, NOT a violent rush of power. kinda like drinking thunderbird to get drunk vs sipping on some Remy Martin Louie XXIII Black Pearl Cognac poured from a Baccaract Crystal caraf in one hand and a fine cigar in another. You will be shifting at 6000k from first into second and next thing you know all the cars in your mirrors are getting smaller and smaller.

ARD - Lucky
 Glad to be able to provide good service to you guys! Just finished tuning one particular VS members 99 C70 T5 manual with GT307x on it.... Whew quick! Only boosting 13psi now but once the firmer external wastegate spring is installed 18psi should be a wild ride! Perhaps the owner will post up with their impression once they take delivery of the car! Mossback due in tomorrow at 11am, same car but with 18T turbo... Maybe time for head to head 60-100 testing.... JK Chuck!

ARD - Lucky
The car I finished today is not same as your car, this owner is 1999 and has the GT307x turbo. The guy I'm touching base with tomorrow is very similar to you in that he's got manual C70 with 18T and is 2001 model year. So nearly identical.
