Jesus
Just wish the springs were an inch or two shorter and a smidge stiffer all around. What worked for you and where did you get them?
fischmama
Doesn't D2 publish the spring rates?
Piston Slapper
You'd need to know the springs diameter, probably of the two standard coilover sizes, and then you could order springs in basically any rate and length you wanted.

Vogtland B5 Audi rear coilover springs Compared to TA springs On the car Stiff as fuck. Bottom diameter is a smidge wider than factor springs, and the very top dead coil cut, the springs sit perfectly in the factory upper spring seat. andyb5
The front springs are 480 lb/in rears are 250 lb/in. Going off appearances only, the fronts seem to be a standard coilover spring, whereas the rears seem to be custom-made for the application. Piston Slapper
Know the IDs on them? There are larger ID springs out there.
andyb5
They're tapered, that's why it seems like those might be harder to replace:
Piston Slapper
Oh, ya, that might be tricky.
gilber33
They're still the 2.5" bottom with a 5" top. Or, get a TKI upper perches and run a 2.5" coil spring.

JVC
I was going to have some upper rear perches made then use a 2.5" spring in the rear. Ask Kalvin since I know he just got some 7" coil springs that were 450 and 350 IIRC.

Ask Kalvin since I know he just got some 7" coil springs that were 450 and 350 IIRC. It looks fairly easy to change the upper perches in the rear to fit standard springs. I have thought about it also since I would like to go with a little stiffer spring in the rear.
