Anyone who ever thought 950 KJR was the "fun station" and 710 ESPN was the "business station" is totally right. Visited 710 today for a while. It's crazy professional where 950 is fun fun fun.

That is a great link!

And as for the comments above about the uniforms... I like them. But I grew up in Eugene... they remind me of home.

From my FB-

I am a Mariners and Red Sox fan. By character and definition, I hate the New York Yankees. Yet when I just read that Yankee closer Mariano Rivera has a torn-ACL and his career may be over, it broke my heart a little. MLB may soon be losing its greatest closer ever and overall, an incredible player and person. Dang :(

That is a very classy comment. Team preferences aside, it is a person's career we are talking about. I think it is always unfortunate when an individual has a career ending injury.

Having said that.. I enjoyed the video above.

Only reason why I hope T-sizzle is out for the year is so he can be an analyst for the nfl network

I love/hate the Yankees. Hearing that news was a real downer

Wrote this up for a few different places. Thought I'd share for anyone interested in a basketball and hockey team coming to Seattle.

This morning the Memorandum of Understanding between the city of Seattle, King County, and Christopher Hansen was unveiled. Many kinks of the stadium being built have been ironed out (except environmental and transportation checks-which will be

paid for by Hansen). So here's the deal. Christopher Hansen now has 100% full authority to go find an NBA and NHL team to bring to Seattle. Expect him to call the Maloofs (the Sacramento Kings owners) this week. Once he finds a team to bring to Seattle and it is confirmed that they will come here, he will be allowed to break ground on the new arena. The new arena will go just south of the Safeco Field Parking Garage, creating a 3 stadium lineup- the only of it's kind in the United States. The stadium will seat 17,500 people for NHL games, 18,500 for NBA games, and 19,000 for concerts and other events. The stadium's estimated cost is 490 million dollars. Christopher Hansen will be supplying 290 million of that out of his own pocket. The other 200 million will come from the city and county. If Hansen acquires only an NBA team, the city and county will supply only 120 of the 200. If both an NBA and NHL are acquired, all 200 will be supplied. This is important because it allows a new stadium to be built with only an NBA team acquired. Any excess costs of the 490 million will be paid for by Hansen. There will be ZERO new taxes to the citizens of King County. The city of Seattle and King County will be paid back by the stadium itself by tax revenue by the arena itself. This is why it is a "self-funded arena". One of a kind. Many are also saying that the City Counsel of Seattle will approve this project "fairly quickly" and "within the next couple weeks". Mayor McGinn and Dow Constantine are 100% behind the project saying that SODO is the only area available for the stadium and they will work with the Port and Mariners to iron out any problems. Back to the Maloofs. They want to get out Sacramento. The city does not appreciate them enough and the city refuses to pay for any environmental and traffic checks for a new arena. These checks are something- as I noted earlier- that Hansen would pay for here in Seattle. The Maloofs want to stay in their current stadium and renovate it. The city of Sacramento and Mayor Kevin Johnson refuse to let the Kings stay in the current stadium and refuse any renovation. Thus, they are at an impasse and the Kings (Maloofs) will likely look to relocate soon. It's becoming obvious that their best option for relocation is Seattle. Thus, the chances the Kings come to Seattle and become the Seattle SuperSonics becomes much more likely now. Which leads me to my final point. On page 19 of the Memorandum of Understanding, Christopher Hansen pledges to buy the rights to the name, logo, and colors of the "Seattle SuperSonics" to guarantee that any new basketball team in city would for sure have the name, logo, and colors of the old Sonics. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the current situation. Oh how beautiful it is. Please share this with others so everyone may know what we are looking at here in Seattle. Thank you for taking the time to read this. #SeeYouSoonSeattleSonics
