ill say it once ill say it again! redo that valve cover paint! it looks like a kid painted it!

otherwise...nice install. wen i did my intercooler i moved the rad back into the stock location for n/a. much cleaner look and also gives you more room for front access to the motor.

when is the manual swap going in?

test fit my new exhaust manifold today:

Had to switch out both motor mounts and motor mount brackets to the 89 style to be able to clear the new turbo/manifold.

Yes, I will be adjusting the heat wrap before I install it for good..it started moving around when trying to finagle the manifold into place.

I honestly think the oem look for the valve cover would be best...it reminds me of the Ronald Macdonald car. Otherwise looks good! I think you went a bit skimpy on the header wrap though, the layers don't seem to be overlapped enough even in the areas where it didn't shift....could be the pic though.

Just finished up the last stage of the winter work (I know its April now). This part included installing an EVO III 16G6 turbo, with a custom tubular exhaust manifold. The turbo has a Hahn Racecraft 10cm turbine housing. Yes, this is Poik's old setup. All intake/charge pipe tubing is 3" aluminum with 5-layer silicone hoses. We also installed an HKS SSQV Version 2 BOV since the turbo does not have a CBV.

All in all, it was a very tight fit to make this work. We were able to use SOME of the studs, but we had to remove 2-3 studs and replace them with bolts to allow the clearance. We also had to bend the tranny cooler lines to clear the turbo, as well as install 89- motor mounts/brackets on both sides with poly engine mounts.

After the turbo/manifold were finally installed, we ran into a problem hooking up the intake tubing. We had to cut and modify the water pump hoses, change the angle of the power steering pump hose, and further change the bend on the tranny cooler lines. Finally we were able to put the silicone and hoses onto the turbo and plumb everything up.

For the oil/coolant hoses on the turbo, we used a stainless steel braided feed hose from Craving Boost, and a modified/extended oil return line. We had to cut one of the solid coolant lines on top of the turbo to make for a more straight shot to put the rubber hose onto it, but it wasn't too bad.

I don't have MANY pictures, but here is what I have from yesterday, and a video starting it on open turbo. We still have to go get downpipe bolts, but wanted to see it start. So forgive how loud/obnoxious it sounds..again, its open turbo.

Manifold/turbo bolted into place:

Yes, I know the heat wrap has a few gaps. I adjusted it afterwards..but I also did not want to put too much of it on.

Anddd..once everything was hooked up:

Here is the first start video on open turbo:
