Spacers

Hey Guys,

So here's my setup:

TIRES: 215/40/18

WHEELS: 18X8 VOLUTION V ET43 (I THINK THAT'S THE OFFSET FOR THE XC90- GOT THEM FROM KEVIN "THE UNDERLORD")

S70 HUB SIZE 65.1

XC90 HUB SIZE 67

I was thinking 10mm up front and 15mm or 20mm in rear. Basical what should my ET be front and rear to get it flush to the fenders?

The next question is do I get/can I get hubcentric spacers to replace my current hubcentric rings or just use my what I have with spacers?

Thanks,

Mike

Gonna link this post from Gilber33: He covers spacing and offsets pretty thoroughly.

You can get custom made wheel/hubcentric spacers from Motorsportech

Thanks man. :lol::tup:

Post #6 in that link should help you the most. :)

Thanks for the links, the stance calculator is great! Still have several questions tho...

Is the distance from the hub to the fender on a S70 the same as the 850? I see measurements of 78mm and/or 85mm... This is for the front? What about the rear?

And is is safe to use hubcentric rings (1.9mm) with spacers instead of doing custom hubcentric spacers?

Thanks!

No, those are measurements for the 850. The x70s have slightly wider fenders. Add on a few mm and I assume you should be fine.

78mm would be for the front and the larger would be for the rear. Was 85mm what you got? I measured the lip of the Columba to the fender lip and added those measurements into the offsets of the Columbas, which is why you see the absurd et8 and et-14.

I think you could use hubcentric rings with spacers, but that's a lot of individual pieces you have in there now. But for the cost of spacers with extended lug bolts, it might be the same price, if not a little cheaper to get hubcentric adapter style spacers.

My adapters from Motorsport-Tech were ~$300 shipped including all the hardware. Plus it's a small business and whenever you call, you speak with the owner for placing orders, so you know you're getting a goo product.

Well I will take measurements, I want to get it right first time around!

I will call Motorsport-Tech as well, it was more of a time issue then price, I don't like waiting for product... how long do custom ones take?

Two weeks is the average turn around time for them.
