Back Seat Cupholder Arm Rest Question

So I retrofitted my 98 S70 with the later backseat cupholder armrest. The trunk pass through lid is different than the 98, so does anyone have a picture of what the lid mounts to. On my 98, the passthrough lid actually attaches to the arm rest and the pivoting points are on the arm rest. The later lid doesn't appear to mount the same way and is actually shorter. There are 4 tabs on the bottom of it and wondering if those attach to anything. Or does the lid just pull out entirely when needing access to the trunk?

The 98 original lid won't fit the 99+ cupholder armrest, pivot points are not in the same place. The 99+ cupholder pass-thru lid is shorter than the 98 lid. I've got the new lid pressed into place and no one has ever sat in the back seat (except one time) so not really that big of a deal (and not like the show judges would ever look at that).

Heck, I'm probably better off selling this pristine charcoal gray leather cupholder arm rest.

In this link to the back seat parts list, the '98 pass through lid is part #39. The 99+ lid is part #42. My question is what do the tabs on the bottom mount to, if anything?

it'll attach. the reason it may seem shorter is because the cup holder is thicker than the original arm rest piece you had in there.

it will fit no problem.

you can use your old lid.
