2000 S70T5 Auto Trans - Intermittent Downshift Issues

I'm the new guy on the forum so I will get right to it.

My 2000 S70T5 has recently been experiencing some rather weird and intermittent transmission shifting symptoms.

When first started and driven, the trans shifts perfectly and continues to do so for the first 30 minutes or so of urban driving.

Gradually, the downshifts start exhibiting symptoms as if the trans is deliberately trying to remain in a higher gear for much too long which sometimes results in bogging down the drivetrain. It has never actually stalled the engine but it does make for a less-than pleasant driving experience.

Even the upshifts occur too rapidly (meaning that it tends to find a higher gear far too early for the engine's RPMs).

My gut feeling is that the transmission itself is probably not defective as it performs very strongly when cold and never slips. I am wondering if this might be something like a defective solenoid or electronic control module.

I even did a recent trans fluid change to see if that might help matters but that seemed to be in vain. At least the old fluid was clean and new looking with no trace of debris nor did it appear to have been burnt.

Am I alone with this or has anyone else had similar issues with a similar car?

My s60 t5 -01 geartronic is doing excacly same thing.. shifting from 4-5 like in 50 km/h and revs 1500rpm.. then changing back to 4.. nothing much to do but to wait for a complete breakdown on the tranny and then hand into the pocket..let me quess your car sometimes humps revs like 300-400 rpm while holding a steady gas and going on streigh road ?
